College Board has announced that its BigFuture Scholarships program has surpassed $32 million in total scholarship support for students across the United States, while also extending the program through the Class of 2030.

The scholarship initiative, launched in 2019, is designed to help students take practical steps toward planning their future after high school. According to College Board, the program has already awarded more than $23 million to over 24,000 students in all 50 states. With the latest expansion, College Board is adding more than $6.5 million in new awards, bringing the total scholarship commitment to over $32 million.

Unlike many traditional scholarship programs, BigFuture Scholarships do not require essays, test scores, or a minimum GPA. Students can qualify by completing simple college and career planning steps, such as exploring careers, building a college list, and learning about financial aid.

Each month, BigFuture awards two $40,000 scholarships and hundreds of $500 scholarships to students nationwide. The program is open to students as they plan for life after high school, with the newly announced extension making scholarship opportunities available through the Class of 2030.

Amy Reitz, senior vice president of BigFuture, said the program aims to help students take ownership of their future and turn their goals into action. College Board emphasized that the scholarship expansion reflects its broader commitment to increasing access to college and career planning resources for students across the country.

With rising education costs continuing to be a major concern for families, the extension of BigFuture Scholarships gives future graduating classes additional opportunities to receive financial support while preparing for college, careers, and other postsecondary pathways.
