FIFA has announced that the 2026 World Cup will begin with three major opening ceremonies across the tournament’s host countries: Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

The first ceremony will take place in Mexico City on June 11, 2026, before the opening match of the tournament. Two more ceremonies will follow on June 12, one in Toronto and another in Los Angeles. The events are designed to celebrate the first World Cup hosted by three countries and to highlight unity across North America.

Several global music stars are expected to perform during the ceremonies. The lineup includes names such as Katy Perry, J Balvin, Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, LISA, Rema, Anitta, Future, Maná, and Tyla.

According to reports, each ceremony will reflect the culture of its host country. Mexico’s event will include traditional visual themes, Canada’s ceremony will focus on multicultural identity, and the U.S. event in Los Angeles will feature a large-scale entertainment show.

The 2026 World Cup will be the biggest tournament in FIFA history, with 48 national teams competing across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

With major artists, three host nations, and global football excitement, the opening ceremonies are expected to attract huge international attention before the tournament officially begins.
