College Board has released the official SAT test dates and registration deadlines for the 2026–2027 academic year, giving students in the United States and internationally more time to plan their exam schedules.

According to College Board, registration is currently open for all fall 2026 SAT test dates. The organization stated that the 2026–2027 SAT schedule applies to both U.S. and international students. All registration and late-registration deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.

The announced SAT test dates are:

The first SAT of the 2026–2027 academic year will be held on August 22, 2026. Students must register by August 7, 2026, while the late registration and change deadline is August 11, 2026.

The next test date is September 12, 2026. The regular registration deadline for this exam is August 28, 2026, and the late registration or change deadline is September 1, 2026.

Another SAT will take place on October 3, 2026. Students planning to take this exam should complete their registration by September 18, 2026. The late registration and change deadline is September 22, 2026.

The fourth test date announced for the fall period is November 7, 2026. The registration deadline is October 23, 2026, while late registration and changes will be accepted until October 27, 2026.

The final SAT of 2026 will be administered on December 5, 2026. Students must register by November 20, 2026, and the late registration or change deadline is November 24, 2026.

In 2027, the first SAT will be held on March 6, 2027. The registration deadline for this test is February 19, 2027, and the late registration or change deadline is February 23, 2027.

The next SAT will take place on May 1, 2027. Students should register by April 16, 2027. The late registration and change deadline is April 20, 2027.

The final announced SAT test date for the 2026–2027 academic year is June 5, 2027. The registration deadline is May 21, 2027, while the late registration and change deadline is May 25, 2027.

College Board also reminded students that those who need to borrow a testing device must register and request the device at least 30 days before test day. Late registration is available worldwide, but additional fees may apply.

The SAT remains one of the major standardized exams used by many universities as part of their admissions process. With the 2026–2027 dates now available, students are encouraged to choose a test date based on their university application deadlines, preparation timeline, and score-reporting needs.
