League of Legends, developed by Riot Games, was originally released as "League of Legends: Clash of Fates." Since its release, it has been incredibly popular among MOBA fans and continues to attract attention with its achievements to this day.
The characters players control are called "Champions." Each champion has its own story, abilities, and attributes. Today, we will examine the newly added champion, "Locke."
Riot Games introduced the new League of Legends champion, Ashen Exorcist, in patch 26.13.
Passive (Silver Stake): Roots enemies' souls, dealing additional magic damage on hit that increases based on the enemy's missing health.
As you can see, the passive ability is quite powerful and impressive. We could even say that until now, we didn't have a champion that rooted other champions with its passive.
Q (Ritual Nail): Creates a series of Soul Nails. Soul Spikes deal magic damage and mark hit enemies. They apply a slow effect depending on the number of stacks. Attacking an enemy consumes Soul Spikes, dealing magic damage per stack. For each unconsumed spike, a cooldown and a portion of mana are restored.
Looking at her Q ability, it gives me a Xayah vibe; her Q skill also threw feathers, which could be likened to spikes. Even though our character isn't a marksman, having a ranged attack skill makes this champion even stronger.
W (Soul Fire): Releases her own seals and gains movement speed that decays over time. While this effect lasts, she takes true damage per second based on her percentage of health. Then, she restores an amount of health equal to a portion of the damage taken, plus additional health based on her missing health and elapsed time.
Imagine dealing so much damage to a champion, then suddenly they use their W skill, and all the damage you dealt is wasted.
E (Ashwalker): Teleports to a location, dealing magic damage to the surrounding area. Then, with his next attack, he dashes to his target, dealing magic damage to all enemies in his path. Each hit consumes Soul Spike. The cooldown is reset upon defeat.
I can't even describe my feelings about this skill... imagine attacking the enemy from so far away with Q, then jumping on them with E while they're trying to escape, taking significantly more damage than normal, and defeating the champion in their own lane... Honestly, this skill shows that he's a character you can gank a lot with.
R (Purgatory): Throws a relic to a location. When the relic reaches the target point, it opens, throwing Soul Spikes at enemies in the area, dealing magic damage and slowing them. Marked champions whose health falls below a certain threshold are pulled into the relic and killed. When a champion is executed, the relic's duration is reset for other affected champions. After a few seconds, the relic seals itself, and if a champion is sealed, they remain on the ground. When Locke picks up his relic, his execution threshold is permanently increased, and a portion of the cooldown is refunded for each champion sealed.
Imagine the enemy team taking a dragon or a baron... that's where Locke comes in. He uses his skill to slow all the champions there, dealing damage, and while they try to escape, he uses his Q and E skills, and before you know it, the enemy team is gone!
Our opinion is that Locke will be very strong early in the game, like other champions, and will be weakened later in updates. While the patch for its addition is currently mentioned, we don't have a definite date or time. As we can see from its visuals, it looks very high-quality even without a skin.
